Basic rules
All members treat children and other families with respect.
Discrimination, violence, threats, harassment, sexualised behaviour, abuse or endangering a child will not be tolerated.
Before the first childcare session
We strongly recommend that families meet in person before the first childcare session.
In particular, discuss:
- who will look after the child;
- where the childcare takes place;
- emergency contacts;
- allergies;
- medication;
- dietary requirements;
- sleeping habits;
- persons authorised to pick up;
- the child’s particular needs.
During childcare
Caregivers undertake in particular to:
- supervise children appropriately for their age;
- not expose the child to unnecessary risks;
- not provide care under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- not smoke in the child’s presence;
- respect the rules agreed with the parents;
- contact the parents if there are problems or uncertainties.
Medication
Medication should only be given according to clear instructions from the parents or guardians.
If in doubt, consult the parents or medical professionals.
Photos and videos
Photos or videos of a child in care may only be taken, stored or shared with the consent of the parents or guardians.
Publishing on social networks without such consent is not permitted.
Handover
Children may only be handed over to their parents or guardians or to explicitly authorised persons.
The QR/PIN and confirmation features offered in Fam4Fam should be used to document the handover safely.
PINs and QR codes must not be shared with unauthorised persons.
Verification
A Fam4Fam verification helps build trust but does not replace meeting in person or the parents’ own judgement.
Children’s privacy
Information about children may only be used for the intended childcare purpose.
A family’s data, addresses, images, messages or other information must not be passed on to third parties without authorisation.
Reviews
Reviews should be honest, respectful and factual.
Personal information about children does not belong in public reviews.
Problems during childcare
For a non-urgent problem, contact the parents or guardians first.
In the event of acute medical or other danger, contact professional help immediately.

Suspected risk to a child’s wellbeing
If there is a suspicion that a child is at risk, the child’s safety takes priority.
In case of immediate danger, contact the police or the relevant emergency service.
An incident can also be reported to Fam4Fam: support@fam4fam.ch
Reports
Users can report in particular:
- inappropriate behaviour;
- fake profiles;
- harassment;
- suspicious communication;
- manipulation;
- security problems;
- possible risks to a child’s wellbeing.
Reports are treated confidentially as far as possible.
Measures taken by Fam4Fam
In the event of safety concerns, Fam4Fam may in particular:
- remove content;
- restrict features;
- review verifications;
- temporarily block accounts;
- permanently exclude accounts.
In serious situations of danger, Fam4Fam may cooperate with the competent authorities within the framework permitted or required by law.
Legal requirements
Fam4Fam does not replace any cantonal or municipal authorisation or notification.
Families must check for themselves which legal requirements apply to their specific childcare.
Fam4Fam is a platform for connecting and organising between families and is not itself an emergency or child protection service.
